Yes I know, there's a tool for that. But I don't always have one. And it doesn't work for all the pieces (at least for me). Y'all know what I mean. Those amazing, magical (and evil) flats. Next time it's time to separate the flats, try this hack.
Turns out your mom and the dentist were right. Floss is important! Strings style works great but I prefer these flossers!
We use a lot of smaller pieces with mosaics and these guys are awesome! You simply wedge the string under or between pieces and then pull up the string. Plus the disposable flossers have this pointed pick-end that is great for staggered pieces.
